Zomi Mothers' Association (ZMA), General Headquarter is shocked to learn that another heinous act of rape was again committed against a minor girl on April 4, 2025 in the outskirt of Lamka town. This is a grim reminder that our society is no more safe for the most vulnerable section of the society. ZMA urges every section of our society to come forward and fight crime against women to make a 'rape-free society.' This is not only a rape against women but also a rape against our society.
ZMA condemns in the strongest terms the rape of a minor girl and demands that an exemplary and unprecedented punishment shall be awarded against the rapist (s). Another arrest and another judicial custody just to defuse mob's fury and reaction will no more be accepted. ZMA demands justice for the rape victim.
