The Kom Tribe Council strongly condemns and clarifies the baseless allegations circulating on social media regarding the death of the late Yarkhup Kom and alleged torture of his daughter, LB Kom, by the Kuki SoO group. The family members have not given any consent or statement to any media outlet regarding these incidents.
These allegations appear to be a deliberate attempt to tarnish the image of the family and the Kom tribe. We urge the public to be cautious of misinformation and request social media administrators to verify information before posting on their platforms.
The Kom Tribe Council appeals to all social media users to refrain from spreading unverified content that may harm individuals or communities. We seek cooperation in maintaining responsible social media practices.
