Zomi Students' Federation to Host Legal Awareness Programme*
Lamka, February 28, 2025 --- The Zomi Students' Federation, in collaboration with the Churachandpur District Legal Services Authority, is organizing a Legal Awareness Programme on March 1, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Olive Retreat Centre, Lamzang. Sponsored by the Manipur State Legal Services Authority, the event aims to educate citizens on various legal aspects.
The programme will feature a welcome address by Pu Vumsuan Naulak, Chairman of the Zomi Council, followed by a keynote speech from the District Legal Services Authority, Churachandpur. Legal experts, including Ms. Chinglun, Advocate, will speak on topics such as schemes under the National Legal Services Authority and citizens' rights and responsibilities. Mr. Paulianmung Tonsing, Advocate, will conduct a session on the rule of law, followed by an interactive discussion.
The initiative seeks to empower citizens with legal knowledge and promote awareness of their rights. Everyone is invited to attend. The event will conclude with a vote of thanks and refreshments.
