PRESS COMMUNIQUE

The Thadou Youth Association General Headquarters (TYA-GHQ) {a constituent unit of Thadou Inpi General Headquarters}, hereby condemns the brutal action of the State and Central government forces on the 8th March 2025, resulting in the death of our beloved brother Mr. Lalgouthang Singsit of Keithelmanbi Sadar Hills and injury over 40 women. The Kuki- Zo community suffered immense loss of the ethnic cleansing campaign inflicted upon our people by the majority Meitei Community since the 3rd May 2023 had always refrained from intruding across the "Buffer Zone" created by the Union Home minister.
While welcoming any effort for restoring peace and normalcy, we the TYA denounce the plan of the authorities to adopt and inflict arbitrary measures to extinguish the rightful demand of the Kuki-Zo community and to open broken bridges by coercion, masquerading in the guise of allowing free movement the boarders for the people ends separated over 22 months.
We support and fully endorsed the Indefinite Shutdown called by our political platform Kuki-Zo Council from the 8th of March 2025 consequently. We will fight tirelessly and perennially until our veins are filled with drops of blood to our demand for freedom, justice and determination in our ancestral land which was long forgotten and misinterpreted that which you mistook and favors the majoritarian supremacy of the ruling Central and State government which continue to suppress and justice being denied to the Kuki-Zo forcefully stated the apex Youth-Wing of the Thadou community!
