CHURCH MEMBERS, well-wishers, and individuals gathered at Manipur Evangelical Lutheran Church (MELC), Bengaluru, on Sunday to honour Pastor M. Kamneithang Zou, also known as M. Thangboi Zou, on successfully completing his Doctorate Degree.

Bengaluru offered a heartfelt prayer of blessing for him, asking for God’s
guidance, wisdom, and strength as he continues his ministry and service.
Pastor Thangboi was
conferred a Doctorate Degree by New Life College, Bengaluru, on March 13, 2025,
during the college’s graduation ceremony. He pursued his doctoral studies at
the college from 2021 to 2025, with his thesis titled “A Study on the Issue of Drug Addiction among the Youth in MELC,
Churachandpur Town: Towards Developing an Approach to Pastoral Counselling”,
under the supervision of Dr. Francis Doddamani.
In 2024, he also
published a book titled “Sermon Outlines”
in the Zou dialect.
Pastor Thangboi studied Bachelor of Theology (B.Th) at New Life Biblical Seminary in Kerala from 2006-2008. He earned his Master in Theological Studies (MTS) at Grace Bible College, Lamka in 2013.
Born to the late Mr. M. Thangzagin Zou and Mrs. Chingchiin of Sangaikot village, Lamka, he is the youngest of seven siblings (four sisters and three brothers). He is married to Chiinzaching, BA, who also holds a Master of Divinity (MDiv). The couple is blessed with a beautiful daughter.
He committed his life to Jesus Christ as his
personal Saviour on 16 June 1996 during a crusade led by Pastor Khaitinlen.
On 10 December 2017, he was ordained as a pastor by Rt.
Rev. Dr. Hangminthang, Bishop of MELC, affirming his dedication to ministry and
service.
Currently, he serves as the Area Pastor of MELC,
Lamka East Division. A dedicated pastor, husband, and passionate writer, he
continues to inspire many through his ministry and literary contributions.
