The
long-awaited moment in those days, arrived on April 4, 1981, with the formal
inauguration of the Thangkhal Christian
Association (TCA) by Rev. H. Chinzakhai (Sia Khai). Pu Khuphenpau,
President of the Thangkhal Peoples’ Organisation (TPO), Manipur, officiated the
unveiling of the church’s commemorative stone.
The
inscription on the stone bore the biblical verse:
“God is spirit, and those
who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” ~
John 4:24.
