Zalengam FC, a Kuki football team, emerged as champions of the Maj Bob Khathing Football Tournament 2024-25 held at the Senapati Astro-Turf Ground. They triumphed over Sadar Hills FA in a nail-biting penalty shootout, winning 5-3 after the match ended 1-1 in regular time.
Organised by the Poumais of Senapati town, the tournament symbolised unity and reconciliation, with nearly half the participating teams hailing from Kuki-dominated Kangpokpi District.
