Dear Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla,
On behalf of the Kuki-Zo people, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on your esteemed
appointment as the Governor of Manipur. Your vast experience as a distinguished civil servant,
particularly as the Union Home Secretary, inspires confidence in your ability to steer the state toward
a future of justice, peace, and harmony.
Under normal circumstances, it would have been our honour to visit you in person at Raj Bhavan in
Imphal to warmly welcome you. However, as you are aware, the prevailing conflict has deeply
disrupted life for the Kuki-Zo people, making such a visit impractical at this time. Nevertheless, we
look forward to a day when peace is restored, and such an occasion becomes possible.

We trust that your tenure will be marked by a commitment to fairness and the upliftment of all
communities in Manipur.
