On January 12, 2025, at around 7:00 PM, RK Remping and a group of armed miscreants carried out a brutal attack on six women and two men in Maremei Village, Senapati District.
The women, engaged in their daily routines, were subjected to severe physical assault, including beatings with cane sticks, strikes with the butts of heavy weapons, and kicks. The victims endured degrading and inhumane treatment in a blatant violation of their dignity and fundamental rights.
The assailants further attempted acts of sexual violence against the women, threatening them with loaded sophisticated weapons, adding to the trauma of this shocking incident.
This horrifying act underscores the urgent need for justice and the protection of vulnerable communities.
