🔲 January 28, 2025 (Tuesday):  After witnessing a week full of excitement and spectacular goals, Girls' football category of the ongoing Colonel Viplav Tripathi Football Tournament 2025 organised by 37 Assam Rifles, will draw into conclusion when two heavyweights - Zingsol FC and Team Avengers, goes head to head in today's final showdown at PLD Turf Ground, Thingkangphai, Lamka.

The final fixture that features Zingsol FC and Team Avengers is something that can be termed as a perfectly balanced fixture as the two sides merited this final taking into account the results they have and their qualities. The two sides had met during the league round that ended in a 2-2 draw.

Zingsol FC thrashed Takchanu FC 6-0 in the league round before clinching a convincing 3-1 win against Melhoi FC in the semi-final while Team Avengers trounced Takchanu FC 9-0 before their narrow 1-0 semi-final win over L. Zoujang FC.

The two finalists might not have the most talented and experienced players but both sides have a squad of future stars as most of the players are academy students who have bright careers ahead.

For today's final battle, the torch bearer for Zingsol FC will be Jersey No. 7 Nengpi, who is instrumental in bringing her team to the final. The versatile youngster had also grabbed a hattrick during the league round and also scored a stunning deciding goal in the semi-final. For Team Avengers, there is nothing much to worry as they have a highly balanced squad but a lackluster performance could pave the way for Zingsol FC to clinch the title.
