We, the Zou Sangnaupang Pawlpi, General Headquarters, express our utmost condemnation of the egregious incident involving the eleven Kuki-Zo Volunteers, who were tragically massacred by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) stationed in Jiribam on the 11th of November, 2024 (Monday), with the collusion of Meitei Militants and the prejudiced Meitei State Police Force.
In light of the heinous act perpetrated against the eleven Kuki-Zo Volunteers by the alleged neutral entity, the CRPF, we extend our support for the Shutdown called by the Kuki-Zo Council and various student organizations in Lamka and elsewhere in Kuki-Zo dominated districts, scheduled for the 12th of November, 2024, from 05:00 AM to 06:00 PM, as a gesture of solidarity to honor our Martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of our land and its people.
Consequently, we earnestly implore all discerning citizens and members of the Kuki-Zo community to fully cooperate and endorse the Shutdown, as a manifestation of our profound discontent regarding the barbarous actions of the CRPF and to demand prompt measures for justice to be realized.
Emergency services, including water supply, medical assistance, and pre-scheduled recruitment aspirants shall be exempted from the Shutdown.
