KKTC opens its doors in scenic Muttom

Established in 2023, Kanyakumari Theological College (commonly referred to as KKTC) was initiated by the CSI Kanyakumari Diocese (KKD). The college is situated on a picturesque hillock in Muttom, approximately 15 km from the Nagercoil bus terminal and about 35 km from Kanyakumari.

The campus is characterized by its lush greenery, featuring trees and coconut groves along with a panoramic view of the beach that stretches along the coastline below. The cool breezes on this hilltop create a serene atmosphere for studying, where students can enjoy the tranquility of pursuing their education under the shade of trees, complemented by the vast ocean view.

KKTC boasts a well-stocked library, which includes a diverse collection of academic texts, secular literature, magazines, and journals, providing an ideal environment for students to engage in their studies.

Visitors would often find themselves reluctant to leave due to the enchanting surroundings. The beauty of the landscape, from the sound of roaring waves to the mesmerizing sunrises and sunsets, along with the cheerful chirping of birds, dancing peacocks, and playful squirrels, creates an immensely pleasant living experience.

The immersive ecological experiences combined with theological education at this ecumenical college inspire students to be mindful stewards of creation while deepening their faith. KKTC’s unique environment not only fosters theological insight but also nurtures a profound respect for the natural world.

Kanyakumari is rich in Christian history --- St. Xavier, Devasahayam, Ringeltaube, Vethamonikam, and others poured their sweats, tears and blood into the soil. Their sacrifices enriched the land, transforming it into the beautiful, spiritually vibrant place we see today.

While the land itself is stunningly beautiful, it also holds an inner beauty -- its deep spirituality -- that continues to inspire and enrich all who experience it. Kanyakumari itself is like a living textbook of Christianity!

Moreover, the founding vision of KKTC is attributed to the thoughtful and visionary Bishop of the CSI Kanyakumari Diocese, whose commitment to theological education for young minds is both inspiring and forward-looking.

KKTC is an ideal place for holistic growth, where students are enriched mentally, physically, and spiritually.
