Nov 1, 2024 --- The military regime has banned the transfer of Border Guard Force (BGF) members to the Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA). The BGF is a junta-aligned group and the DKBA is a signatory to the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement.
Since the coup, many BGF members have reportedly joined the DKBA either of their own volition or after being dismissed from the DKBA. The regime has also ordered that members previously transferred return to their original groups.
