Azhimala Shiva Temple | Trivandrum

We had the opportunity to visit the Azhimala Shiva Temple, a remarkable spiritual site nestled along the coast of the Arabian Sea near Trivandrum, Kerala. Renowned for its towering 58-foot Gangadhareshwara statue, this temple serves not only as a significant center of Shaivism but also as a testament to the rich cultural heritage of the region. With its serene surroundings, breathtaking views, and historical significance, the Azhimala Shiva Temple offers a unique glimpse into the spiritual and architectural marvels of Kerala. Our visit to this sacred site on October 29, 2024, was a memorable journey that deepened our appreciation for its beauty and tranquility.

Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple is an amalgamation of Keralite and Dravidian styles, featuring a 100-foot tall gopuram (ornate entrance gate). This Temple, believed to be 5,000 year old, is situated in the heart of Thiruvananthapuram City, Kerala.
