Date: October 17, 2024 --- Condemnation on the heinous acts committed by Chinland Council in Zomi areas.
We strongly condemn the unlawful invasion of Zomi inhabited areas by the so-called Chinland Council led by Chin National Front/ Army and its allies clans and tribes rebel groups and the egregious violations of human rights that have followed. Such actions not only destabilize regional peace and security but also inflict untold suffering on innocent civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
The targeting of non-combatants, destruction of property, and displacement of communities are blatant violations of international law and human dignity. We call on the regional and international community to act swiftly and decisively to hold the perpetrators accountable, ensure the protection of civilians, and restore peace and justice to the affected areas.
These senseless acts of violence must cease immediately, and all parties involved should commit to dialogue and a peaceful resolution. The sovereignty and territorial integrity of every nation must be respected, and those responsible for these heinous acts must face the full weight of the law.
