Nestled in the charming coastal village of Muttom, Kanyakumari, JEPPIAR FISHING HARBOUR buzzes with life and energy. It’s a hub for local fishermen and a fascinating spot for visitors to witness the rhythm of coastal life. From colourful fishing boats to lively fish auctions, the harbour offers a unique glimpse into the region’s vibrant fishing culture, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Arabian Sea. A must-visit for anyone exploring the coastal charm of Tamil Nadu!
While exploring and taking pictures at the harbour,
the captain of a fishing boat approached our Tamil friend. He looked pale and
downcast and shared that he hadn’t had a good catch in days, leaving him unable
to pay his crew, which in turn affected their families. With a heavy heart, he requested
prayers for blessings.
God’s answer is not always immediate, but it is always faithful and just.
The last time I visited with my Telugu friend, a security guard informed
us, “Visitors not allowed.” When we tried to take a picture in front of the JPR
Gate, he shook his head, saying, “Photographs not allowed.”
