I am alarmed and shocked to learn through a Press Release about a cow slaughter ban program on 28th September 2024 in Kohima to make India cow slaughter free through Gau Dhwaj Sthapna Bharat Yatra program.
As a public leader l felt it duty bound to protect the rights of my people, I therefore vehemently condamne and at the same time object to these kind of imposition on citizens which tantamount to infringement of freedom of individual rights to choice of food. I would like to further reiterate my commitment to condemn imposition of food choice in Nagaland and recollect the BEEF FESTIVAL PROTEST conducted in Kohima by NPF cadres in July 2017 in a predominantly beef eating population in Nagaland.
I , further would like to highlight the hypocrisy of the so-called Gau Rakshaks in the mainland States to first clean up their homes states, where there is large scale slaughter of cows for export to especially Middle East countries. The biggest beef exporting companies owners are Hindus. The data given below highlights the hypocrisy of imposition of cow slaughter in beef eating states in India especially NE Region.
India ranks 5th in the world in terms of meat production. The total meat production in the country is 9.77 Mn Tonnes in the year 2022-23. The top 5 meat producing States are Maharashtra (12.25%), Uttar Pradesh (12.14%), West Bengal (11.63%), Andhra Pradesh (11.04%) and Telangana (10.82%).
Additionally, many Hindu businessmen are among the largest beef suppliers in India.
The *four largest beef exporters* who are Hindus include:
1) Al-Kabeer Exports Pvt. Ltd.
Its owner name: Mr. Shatish &Mr. Atul Sabharwal

2) Arabian Exports Pvt.Ltd.
Owner's name: Mr.Sunil Kapoor
