Senapati Sept 25:- In connection with minor fire which broke out during the intervening night of Sept. 24-25 at Pashupati Nath temple at Senapati, few social media handles at X, Facebook, etc. are circulating pictures along with fake caption which has a potential to mislead the public and hurt their religious sentiments. Further, it also has potential to cause enmity among diverse communities of different religions staying together in Senapati District since ages.
In this regard, Police has already registered an FIR and all-out efforts are being made to catch the culprit at the earliest. As matter is under investigation and till culprit is booked and investigation is completed, public is advised to refrain from any assumptions or presumptions.
Public is requested not to pay any heed to such fake narratives and not to circulate rumours further. District Police is monitoring those pages who're circulating fake narratives on social media, they shall be dealt sternly according to the law.
