The UGC has introduced a new procedure for students enrolling in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) / Online Programmes starting from the 2024-25 academic year (beginning September 2024). Students enrolling in such programmes must register on the UGC-Distance Education Bureau (DEB) web portal using their Academic Bank of Credit (ABC)-ID to generate a unique DEB-ID: Prof. M. Jagadesh Kumar, UGC Chairman.
