04/07/2024: The Zotal-Zolie fully endorsed the Joint Condemnation issued by UZO-GHQ, ZYO-GHQ, ZSP-GHQ, and UZCAM regarding the well orchestrated random shooting that took place on July 4th, 2024, at around 12:45 AM in the residence of former UZO-GHQ President, Pu Chinlunthang (MLA 60-Singngat) in Zoveng, Zenhang Lamka, at midnight. The miscreants, who are suspected to be members of an armed miscreants equipped with sophisticated weapons, carried out the shooting.
While condemning the despicable conduct, the Zotal-Zolie felt that it was exceedingly unfortunate and uncalled for that this unpleasant incident happened during the Meitei Arm's extremist ethnic cleansing campaign against the Kuki-Zo brethren. Therefore, we would want to question the miscreants to justify their acts. If this wasn't done, the Zotal-Zolie would have to see the cowardly behaviour as a direct challenge or confrontation with the Zou Community.
It is important to note that the Zou Community, who are recognised for their kind and modest demeanour, should not been as targetted as weaklings or easy prey. That, if occurrences of this nature keep happening in a Zou Community member's home or person, we will be forced to retaliate with appropriate action to safeguard our identity and our people, should the need arise.
