Chittagong, 05 March 2024: The second round peace talk between representatives of Bangladesh government and the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) was held today, March 5 (Tuesday), 2024 at Bethel village of Ruma sub-district, for the sake of establishing permanent peace in the area of the Kuki-Chin community in the Chittagong Hill Tracts of Bangladesh. The first physical meeting was held at Munlai village near Ruma town.
In this second meeting, those who participated on behalf of the organization of KNF representing the Kuki-Chin community are:
1) Mr. Lalzawngmawi - General Secretary-KNF, Central Committee and Team Leader, KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
2) Mr. Lalsanglawm - Organizing Secretary- KNF, Central Committee and Team Secretary, KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
3) Mr. Lal Englian- Advisor to the President-KNF, Central Committee and Team Advisor- KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
4) Mr. Graham - Executive Member, KNF, Central Committee and KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
5) Pastor Vanlian - Member of the Advisory Board, KNF, Central Committee and KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
6) Mr. Ruallin Bawm - Member of Advisory Board, KNF, Central Committee and KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;
7) Mr. Sangpah Khumi - Executive Member, KNF, Central Committee and KNF's Representative for Peace Dialogue;

It should be noted that KNF has been carrying out an armed movement for the sake of protecting the ancestral land of the underprivileged Kuki-Chin people of Chittagong Hill Tracts and for the purpose of establishing self-governance system. In continuation of this, the peace talks between the government and the KNF were held for the second time.
