The much awaited homecoming of our fallen brothers and sisters after a long tumultuous 8 months of despair, heartbreak and hopelessness have eventually reached their resting place here in our homeland. And we will honor our fallen Kuki-Zo brethrens with the highest burial rites tomorrow i.e. 15 Friday at Martyr Cemetery at Phaijang. In this connection the Committee on Tribal Unity would like to appreciate the Supreme Court for having to intervene and understand the sentiments of the Kuki-Zo communities.
Therefore, the Committee on Tribal Unity would like to inform the general public that there will be 12-Hours Total Shutdown within Sadar Hills - Kangpokpi w.e.f. 15 (Friday) 5AM upto 5PM for the said funeral services and appeals the general public to cooperate. However, emergency services and funeral parties are exempted from the purview.
