When the Zo people of Manipur are in desolation, when they are oppressed and discriminated by the powers, and when hopes are low in their fight for survival, the Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP), General Headquarter, Aizawl came like a beacon of hope and proclaimed that they can no longer be a silent spectator to the various atrocities meted out on the Zo people in Manipur.
During difficult times, it is natural to feel devastated and isolated. The MZP proclamation of support to the cause of the Zo people in Manipur has reminded us that we are not alone and that our brothers and sisters in Mizoram care about us and are willing to stand with us in the face of oppression.
The Research & Preservation of the Zo Identities (RPZI) express our heartfelt gratitude to MZP for standing up to the cause and issues faced by their brothers in Manipur. Their voice felt comforting and reminded us that blood is indeed thicker than water. They manifested once again that although we might be separated by geographical boundaries but in our hearts, we are one.
Let the spirit of brotherhood among the Zo people prevail. Let's pray and hope that one day we will be together under one administration without the subjugation of others.
