Eastern Mirror CNS, 28 March 2023: Tension erupted since last night in general area of Leilon village and Konsaram / Konsakhul village in Manipur's Kangpokpi district after an excavator was vandalised by unknown miscreants.
An excavator (JCB) engaged for construction of a road leading to Konsaram village in Kangpokpi district was damaged by some unidentified persons in sunday night.
The incident has sparked a tense situation between Konsaram village and Leilon village.
Konsaram village chief said that the JCB was being used in constructing a road leading to Konsaram and it was hired from a contractor of Kakwa, Imphal.
He alleged that the excavator was set ablaze by some villagers of Leilon.
