Ccpur, Feb 16, 2023 -- Pachhunga University College, Aizawl, Mizoram and Rayburn College, Lamka, here have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
As per a statement issued jointly by the two Colleges on Thursday, principals of Pachhunga University College and Rayburn College signed the agreement in the spirit of general understanding and cooperation and in recognition that academic cooperation, free exchange of ideas, and student-teacher based programmes are beneficial for academic encouragement, healthy competitive spirit and quality education.
Any programme, provided or relevant to either of the college that is deemed desirable and rational for progress/exchange/collaboration between the two colleges will be included in the areas of cooperation, it added.
The statement also mentioned that teachers/student exchange programmes, workshop/seminar/conference/symposium/debate/essay/quiz/sports/culture/community services programmes (NAAC, AISHE, NIRF) are some points included in the MoU.
In addition to the agreement, before initiating any type of programme or activity, the individual colleges must give each other advance notices of the area of cooperation, it said, while adding that any changes to the current agreement, such as the addition of new areas of cooperation, must be communicated in advance.
The statement further conveyed that the MoU will be effective as soon as possible and will be valid for three years from the date of signing and can be extended from time to time on the basis of certain set procedures.
The agreement was appended by Pachunga University College principal Prof Dr Lalthanzara and Rayburn College principal reverend Dr Khen P Tombing.
