LAMKA, SEPT 30, 2020 --- The Distribution Ceremony of Sewing Machine to the 2nd Batch Vocational Training Graduates was held at AWCA Admininstratve Office, Lailam Veng, Churachandpur, Manipur on 15 September 2020.
Around 120 passed-out tailoring trainees were given each a sewing machine and a certificate by Madam Grace Zamnu, Secretary, AWCA.
Shri Pawan Yadav IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Charachandpur graced the occassion as the chief guest.
The chief guest encouraged the youths and the tailoring graduates to develope the entrepreneurship mindset so that this profession of tailoring can strengthen the women empowerment, and self-earning the income sources.
The free training vocational course have been organised by Action for Women and Child Advancement (AWCA) under the sponsorship of Manipur State Women development Cooperation (MSWDC), Govt of Manipur.
Many women have benifitted from the free trainings provided by AWCA. A good number of women could earned income for the family through sewing machines.
The blessing prayer for all the tailoring graduates was administered by Rev. PC Mang, Area Pastor, Lamka District, Zou Presbytetian Church Synod (ZPCS).
With a word of prayer the programme came to an end. Then the light refreshment follows.
