IMPHAL, May 22: Airports Authority of India, Imphal International Airport will put to test its preparedness for commencement of flight operations at 2:00 pm on Saturday.
Flight operations at the airport is scheduled to commence from 9:00 am on 25.05.2020. All stakeholders will take part in the exercise, an official statement said.
"It is felt that the passengers in particular and the people in general are required to be sensitized on the dos and don'ts in the wake of SARS-CoV-2 pandemic. Media coverage of the event will not only help carry the message to the soon-to-be passengers but also prepare the masses for future air travel in pandemic situations. We require complete coverage of the event from cameraman/scribe and also want to be on your channel/newspaper and on a segment of your news broadcast," it added.
