ZOMI COUNCIL THANK YOU NOTE ZOMI NATIONAL ALTAR

THANK YOU NOTE ON ZOMI NATIONAL ALTAR
            Lamka, the 22nd March, 2019

The Zomi Council, as an apex body of the Zomi tribes, would like to express gratitude to the
revered Church leaders who independently organized the first ever Zomi National Altar on
March 21, 2019. And also thank the public for their earnest cooperation, dedication and
commitment in this regard.

The initiative could not be more relevant and timely than now, a time when the Zomi nation
went through a crisis which have the potential to question and threaten its very existence.
And it is believed that a fervent quest for the will of God in private and political life
impacting a renewed relationship with God and with each other is the paramount need of
each Zomi individuals, social and political bodies. And the Zomi Council trusts that the Zomi National Altar will become the basis to foment spiritual renewal and moral rearmament
leading to healing and restoration of us as a nation.

As the Psalmist says in Psalms 33:12, "Blessed Is The Nation Whose God is the LORD."
The Zomi Council is not oblivious to the fact that future and survival of Zomi as "One
Nation Under God" solely depends on whom or what we worship in private and public
lives. And that it is the time to continue to shed our petty differences and come together at the
gracious throne of God for repentance of our evil deeds, forgiveness of our sins, restoration
of our souls, reconciliation with each other and healing of our land.

Let us all continue to pray that the Almighty God bring peace and reconciliation in our midst.
With love and prayers,

Sd/-
