Elected to the 6th Manipur Legislative Assembly from 41-(ST) Chandel A/C, in 1995.

Minister of State (Power/Works), 1995 in the Rishang Keishing Ministry. Elevated to the rank of Cabinet as Govt. Chief Whip, 1996-97. Cabinet Minister(Social Welfare), 1997.

Re-elected to the 7th Manipur Legislative Assembly in 2000 from 41-(ST) Chandel A/C.

Cabinet Minister(Sericulture & Labour) – 2000-01 in the W. Nipamacha Singh Ministry.

Re-elected to the 9th Manipur Legislative Assembly in 2007 from 60-(ST) Singngat A/C, 

Churachandpur District. Peace Missions Headed & Undertaken :

Convenor of the Peace Committee formed for Chandel A/C for Restoration of Normalcy in the 

Communal conflict that took place in the Hill areas of Manipur in 1995 till 16th May, 1997. 

Delegated as Chief Minister's emissary to pacify the rioting public resulting to the burning down of the then UZO President at Zoveng in Zenhang Lamka, Churachandpur in March, 1995.Delegated as Chief Minister's emissary to speak and meet the Leaders of Churachandpur District during the Communal conflict that took place in Churachandpur District in 1997-99.
