NEW DELHI – General
(Rtd) VK Singh, Foreign Minister and Prakash Singh, Ex DGP, BSF, Uttar Pradesh
awarded Gold Medal with Peacemaker Trophy to a Delhi-based NGO the ‘Helping
Hands’ at a glittering function here in Radisson Blue on July 21, 2018.
The award is a recognition of initiatives
carried out by the Helping Hands, for the North East people living in Delhi; and
empowering the youths in the cities. Many selfless social works has been
rendered by the Helping Hands NGO lead by IG Robin Hibu, IPS.
The other winners are Umesh Misra, ADG,
SOG, Rajasthan; Anil Kishore IG Bihar; Chetan Chita, CO, CRPF, Kashmir; Md
Iqbal, CO, CRPF Jammu; Hrinarayanchari Mishra,
DIG, Indore; and Manoj K Verman
DIG, Darjeeling received the awards for their yeoman services beyond the call
of duties.
“Its heart touching for me to be
awarded so many medals and awards for (die hard selfless members of Helping
Hands NGO) of our tiny initiatives of wiping tears of NE people in cities,”
said Robin Hibu, adding: “Helping Hands is for the cause of people of North East states
in cities, I am truly touched.”
