The NEH members appraised the problems and issues faced by the NE residents in Gurugram. "Salary issues, rents, discriminations, molestations, assaults, abuses, etc. have been raised during the meeting".
Shri Kuldeep Singh warmly welcomed them and assured for the safety and security of the NE people living/working in Gurugram areas. "Haryana Police would give their best efforts in responding to the problems of the Northeast people," said Edward K. Zou, incharge, NESCH Gurugram.

The Nodal Offficer will be out of station from March 31 to April 11, 2018. In the absence of Nodal Officer, Shri Anil, ACP (East) will take the incharge.
The ACP invited the team to have a meeting on April 2, 2018.
The NEH team includes Mr Edward K. Zou, Ms Chonchon, Mr Apam Vashum and Mr Simon, also presented a traditional muffler to the Nodal Officer.

On March 23, 2018, NESCH team led by its founding member & general secretary, Dr Alana Golmei along with some Northeast representatives interacted with Shri Sandeep Khirwar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Gurugram, on safety issues related to Northeast community residing in Haryana. This was the second interaction with the Commissioner of Police.
"Besides other issues, we also appraised him about the recent case of robbery and physical assault and harassment of Northeast house-owner by a non Northeast tenants. The two victims were also present," said Dr Alana Golmei.
The CP has also instructed the new DCP (East) Mr Kuldeep Singh to interact with the Northeast Community on regular basis and also to look into all the pending cases.
Northeast Support Centre & Helpline (NESCH) was launched in New Delhi in 2007.
