Lamka, April 18, 2015: The Zomi Football Club (ZFC) received a grand reception in Churachandpur on Sunday. The receiving programme was held at Simte Inn (SYO Hall), Sim Veng, Lamka under the aegis of Zomi Youth Association (ZYA) Hqtrs.
ZFC won the final match of 2nd CEM Gold Cup Championship 2015 against Rhino Football Club (Tezpur, Assam) by 2-1 goal on Saturday (April 17)
The championship was held in Diphu, Karbi Anglong. Two ZFC players Mr Sonlian Nunthuk and Mr Letminthang Haokip have been awarded Best Player and Top Scorer respectively. This is the first time in which ZFC participated in Karnbi Anglong. Ten teams from all over northeast states participated. ZFC also won the trophy in Bhutan last year.
