Manipur: Three Bodies Discovered in Lamka Town

Lamka, July 25, 2014: Police have recovered three bodies this morning in Lamka town, located approximately 65 kilometers from Imphal, the state capital of Manipur. The deceased have been identified as Paolalmuon, son of Khuma from Moreh; Paothansang, son of Khamlenpao from Sinjol village, Singat; and Seikholun Haolkip, son of Thangkholun Haokip from Songpi village.

One body was found near Sielmat village, while the other two were discovered close to Saikul village. Sources suggest that the three individuals may have been brutally beaten to death, as several bloodstained blunt objects were found at the scene. As of this report, no one has come forward to claim responsibility for this violent act. The bodies are currently being stored in the mortuary of the Churachandpur district hospital in Lamka.
