Cable Operators Beaten A North East Boy Severely in Gurgaon.

Racial Assault to North East Communities Continue in Gurgaon

New Delhi, March 7, 2009 (NE Support Centre & Helpline)

Three Cable operators bat a boy from Manipur and admitted in Civil Hospital, Gurgaon. Doors broken, house hold items and TV set broken. Racial assault and discrimination continues in Gurgaon city.

The sources reaching to North East Support Centre & Helpline (NESC&H), told that the incident happened today at around 1 PM, when three linemen belonging to Yadhav Cable TV came to collect the monthly subscription from Mr. Lamboi, who is doing a Bachelor of Social Work from IGNOU, staying in a rented house in Sikanderpur, Gurgaon, Haryana for last one year.

The three linemen forcibly entered the house and collected the monthly subscription of Rs 200 for February 2009, of which the Victim told that the line was already disconnected a month ago.

After they collected the subscription, the trio beaten Lamboi with lethal weapon and threaten his life. They also broke the TV set and other house hold belongings.

Lamboi told to NESC&H that the matter was reported to local police station and in stead of police extending the help, the friends of Lamboi was told to take him to local hospital.

Lamboi suffers severe injuries on his body and now admitted to Civil Hospital, Gurgaon.

Mr. Madhu Chandra, Spokes Person of NESC&H and Advocate Lansinglui Rongmei – President of NESC&H have called to SHO of DLF Phase II police station and reported the matter and appealed to ensure proper filing of FIR. Until the filing of this report, no FIR is registered.

The case of the rape victim from Assam in December 2008, will also appear in Special Court in Gurgaon on coming Monday. The victims and witnesses are summoned to appear before the special judge.
